Forward Abilities offers specialized services at the intersection of language acquisition, cognitive development, and inclusive education. Each service is designed to be practical, adaptable, and grounded in research.

Teacher Training

Teacher Training equips educators with practical, research-based strategies for more inclusive and effective language instruction. This includes both inclusive teaching methods for students with disabilities and acquisition-driven approaches grounded in how the brain naturally learns language. Training can be delivered virtually or on-site and is designed for immediate classroom application.

Language Learning Experiences

Language Learning Experiences gives world language and English learner teachers the opportunity to begin learning Egyptian Arabic while reflecting on the process as students themselves. These sessions are designed to deepen instructional insight by allowing educators to experience language acquisition firsthand, with guided reflection on teaching strategies throughout.

Cognitive Development Therapy

Cognitive Development Therapy, using the Equipping Minds framework, focuses on strengthening foundational cognitive skills such as memory, attention, and processing. These individualized sessions support learners with disabilities in developing the cognitive tools needed for communication, learning, and daily functioning. Sessions are tailored to each individual and delivered virtually.

Inclusive Language Instruction

Inclusive Language Instruction provides accessible Spanish learning experiences designed for learners of all abilities, including individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These community-based classes are ideal for organizations and groups serving diverse populations and can incorporate cognitive support strategies to enhance engagement and participation.

Books & Resources

Books & Resources provides practical, research-informed materials on disability, second language learning, and advocacy. These resources are designed to support educators, families, and communities in applying research to real-world practice, bridging the gap between theory and everyday implementation.
